Can Gurel, co-founder and managing partner of Netwise-Praksis, focuses primarily on the technological side of client solutions. Since becoming one of Turkey’s first Microsoft Certified Systems Engineers (MCSE) over 10 years ago, Can has stayed on the cutting edge of global IT developments. Under Can’s IT stewardship, Netwise-Praksis has developed into a leading web development and technology solutions provider with clients in Turkey, elsewhere in Europe and the US.
A web entrepreneur several times over, Can established e-commerce
site Kilim.com
– a purveyor of unique, handcrafted Turkish rugs and textiles for
the home – in addition to a successful travel and real estate portal
LetsGoTurkey.com. He also
is behind tourism focused sites AegeanWorld.com and VisualTurkey.com.
Prior to establishing Netwise-Praksis, Mr. Gurel worked within the
financial services and consumer goods industries at Yapi ve Kredi
Bank, Interbank and Bekoteknik
Can is a graduate of Harvard University with a BA in Economics. He
is also an alumnus of Robert College, Istanbul, where he attended
high school. In addition, Can is an active member of the Harvard Club
in Istanbul, a passionate photographer (www.cangurel.com)
and a coffee aficionado.

| Ipek Nur Cem, co-founder and managing partner of Netwise-Praksis, helps clients successfully develop their web strategy and deploy solutions to create sustainable competitive advantage. Ipek’s insights on delivering value by understanding and solving key business issues give Netwise-Praksis’s clients a competitive edge.
Prior to establishing Netwise-Praksis, Ipek was an Associate for Bankers Trust in New York, in the International Capital Markets Group. There, she specialized for three years in providing debt financing for leading Latin American private and public sector entities.
Ipek has sat on the Board of GYIAD, the Turkish Young Executives and Businessmen Association, since May 1999. As an Eisenhower Fellow, Ipek was recognized as one of Turkey’s emerging national leaders. In addition, she has commented on technology trends, international affairs and policy for Sabah newspaper since January 1999. She also is a featured speaker at international events and symposia in Turkey and abroad.
Ipek holds a MBA from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business, where she specialized in Finance and International Business. She also received a Masters in International Affairs (MIA) from Columbia. Ipek received her BA (Cum Laude) in Political Science from Amherst College in Massachusetts. In addition, she is a graduate of the prestigious Robert College in Istanbul, where she received her high school degree. Ipek’s not-for profit work and her two young daughters ensure that she has little down time.

| V. Lynn Baucom is responsible for international marketing and business development for Netwise-Praksis. With years of cross-industry consulting experience in Europe and the US, Lynn also assists on the strategic side of the web development process.
Lynn has extensive experience in the media and internet industries having worked as a consultant with media groups and technology start-ups in Europe and the US. He has also worked with larger organizations such as Natwest, Banque Paribas, PhilipsElectronics/Origin Technology, Columbia University and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
Lynn earned an MBA in Marketing and International Business from Columbia Business School in New York and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate in Classics of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Having academic and/or professional experience in Italy, Greece, Turkey, the UK, the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, France, Bulgaria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Romania, Moldova and Azerbaijan, Lynn is well-positioned to spearhead international business initiatives for Netwise-Praksis. In addition, he is President of the UNC Alumni Club in Istanbul, a film enthusiast and an adventure traveler.
